Coach ventures out with new concept boutique in New York City
Story 2

COACH has unveiled a new retail concept under the Legacy brand. The first Legacy boutique is located in the West Village in New York City, USA.

This location is said to integrate perfectly into Bleecker Street, partly due to a partnership with the New York Landmarks Preservation Commission to restore the 1920s copper storefront to its original state.

For the store’s concept, Reed Krakoff, the company’s president and executive creative director, looked to Coach’s historical archives and the clean, elegant shapes introduced by Bonnie
Cashin and redesigned for the modern woman.

One quarter of the merchandise is exclusive to the Legacy boutique. The 1,200sqf store has a distinctively intimate feel that echoes both the neighborhood’s downtown setting and the Legacy brand. A unique feature to the shop is a framed inspiration wall, created by Krakoff, which incorporates sketches, photographs and archival images from 65 years of Coach history.

Customers can enjoy specialised Coach ventures out with new concept boutique in New York City
services available exclusively at this store including all-encompassing special shopping hours for VIP shoppers, a wishlist for customers, concierge service, and a phone-in order-and-delivery service.

Currently Coach has no plans to open this type of store in Asia, said the brand’s Singapore-based spokesperson.
