Coty to work with Halle Berry on new fragrance
Story 2

FRENCH fragrance company Coty Inc has struck up a partnership with Halle Berry. The deal is a first for Berry, who is the only African-American woman to win an Academy Award for Best Actress
in Monster’s Ball. She has also played other iconic characters, including Storm in The X-Men.

“A woman who defines beauty, Halle Berry exudes sophistication, glamour, sensuality and natural elegance — a combination of unique characteristics that will be bottled inside her exclusive
fragrance,” said Bernd Beetz, CEO, Coty Inc. “Working hand-in-hand with Berry, Coty will develop and deliver a new one-of-a-kind scent that captures the essence of a strong, beautiful and
inspirational woman.”

Working with Coty’s marketing, creative and product development teams, the actress will play an integral role, from conception to the marketing process of the yet-to-be-named fragrance,
which will debut globally in spring 2009. “ I am passionate about this project,” said Berry. “Selecting a fragrance is a very personal choice and I am delighted to have this opportunity to express myself in a creative new way working with Coty.”

Coty is said to be the world’s largest fragrance company with annual net sales of US$3.5 billion. Its brand portfolio includes Aspen, Baby Phat, Calvin Klein, Jovan, Kate Moss, Kenneth Cole, Marc
Jacobs, Nautica, Pierre Cardin and Sally Hansen.
