SINGAPORE textile and apparel manufacturers have banded together under one brand to strengthen their position in the world market — and clothing retailers stand to benefit from the move.

For this purpose, Apparel Singapore was launched last July 16 as an industry brand to market locally-incorporated garment-makers to major economies such as Japan, the US and
Europe.

An initiative of Singapore’s Textile and Fashion Federation (TAFf), backed by government agencies SPRING Singapore and International
Enterprise Singapore, Apparel Singapore
initially has nine member companies, called brand ambassadors, under its wing.
