Hong Kong International Stationery Fair expands
Story 6 - Preview

The Hong Kong International Stationery Fair celebrates its 10th anniversary next year. The 2010 Hong Kong International Stationery Fair will be staged at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre
from January 11-14. It will see the launch of a new product zone, the Gift Stationery Zone, and will run concurrently with two new exhibitions.

Co-organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, the stationery fair has earned itself a track record of success, having been staged together with Asia’s largest toy fair, the HKTDC Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair, for many years. Building on this success, the 2010 fair will run in conjunction with two additional shows — the inaugural HKTDC Hong Kong Baby Products Fair and the 8th Hong Kong International Licensing Show. Cumulatively, these four fairs will
provide multiple sourcing opportunities under one roof.

The growing popularity of cartoon and graphic novel characters has created many licensing opportunities, stated the organisers. Consequently, the decision to run concurrently with the stationery fair and the licensing show has been greeted positively by exhibitors. Exhibitors participating in both
fairs will be able to explore joint cooperation opportunities to launch new collections, while visitors attending the stationery fair will now have the chance to identify licensing prospects at the licensing show.
