Retail tech professionals leverage social media
Story 15 - Retail Tech

Retail technology professionals can now meet and share ideas via their computers, with the newly launched POShuddle.com portal, a social networking site designed for the retail technology industry. Launched by Retail Solutions Providers Association (RSPA), the portal brings together blogs, forums and live chat for professionals to network and keep in touch with the latest trends in the industry, said the association in a statement.

“It’s exciting that we can now leverage new Web-based social media to take the entire retail technology community to the next level. This is a community that RSPA has been a part of for decades and having instant access to industry executives through blogs, discussion forums and live chatting is an invaluable resource for all of us,” said J Joseph Finizio, president and CEO of RSPA.

In collaboration with Business Solutions Magazine (BSM) and Mercury Payment Systems, RSPA said that in designing the site, which is “agnostic” and does not “promote one particular company and/or agenda”, they have kept the portal available to virtually anyone with no pre-requisites, such as RSPA
membership. Said Jim Roddy, president and general manager of Jameson Publishing
& BSM: “POShuddle provides a year-round gathering place for retail IT industry professionals to share information and their experiences.”
