China’s online wholesale marketplace launches new support site for US buyers
Story 12 - Ecommerce

China-based online wholesale marketplace, DH gate.com, has extended its support to SMEs and entrepreneurs in the US with the launch of IntroducingSuccess.com. The portal, which was created as a virtual office, will provide information on starting and operating an online business, as well as
tips on international product sources and how to boost profits from dealings with China-based suppliers, the company said in a statement.

“DH gate.com takes the hassle out of cross-border trade with China, allowing safe transactions to take place in a few clicks of the mouse. About 1.5 million small businesses have been able to grow
their profits through purchasing from the 500,000 China suppliers on DH gate.com, and IntroducingSuccess.com has been created to take that further,” Diane Wang, the company’s founder
and CEO, said.

Aside from providing buyers with an avenue to source from the Chinese market, the company also provides resources that cater to both novice andexperienced entrepreneurs through a mix of social media applications, sharing information that range from Web design to shipping options, to discussions on local business practices, as well as regulatory considerations such as taxes,
customs and duties.

Wang continued: “It was also important to me that the site doesn’t just cater to businesses that use DH gate.com to buy their inventory — we wanted it to be a place that anyone interested in starting an online shop could go to for information. That’s why we used a virtual office and separate URL.”

With over 1.4 million registered buyers from 230 global locations, DHgate offers more than 20 million products from China, generating annual transaction volumes of over US$250 million.
