RSWA 2010 serves as platform for retailers sourcing for latest in retail technologies
Story 8 - Review

Retail Solution World Asia (RSWA) 2010, held at Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre from April 21-23 was “a considerable success”, according to the event’s organiser, Terrapinn.

Now into its fourth year, RSWA 2010 has established itself as the region’s leading trade show for retailers sourcing for the latest in technology services and solutions. “As today’s retailers face an extremely challenging environment, RSWA [2010] served as an avenue for them to be informed about sustainable retail technology and [check out] solutions which are available,” said Terrapinn.

The show organiser pointed out that investing in the right technologies can help retailers stay ahead of the competition, enabling their operations to “survive, profit and expand in both bullish and bearish times”.

RSWA 2010 attracted 6,116 attendees from 53 countries and regions, compared to 5,525 participants in last year’s show, a growth of over 10%. Out of the total number of attendees, 1,790 were retailers, an increase of 8% from the previous year’s 1,658. The number of overseas attendees also increased, from 23.5% last year to 30% this year, according to Terrapinn.

This year’s exhibition covered a net show space of 4,500sqm and featured two country pavilions — Singapore and France.

Commented the organiser: “The annual industry gathering of retailers also paved the way for industry players to discuss challenges and opportunities, as well as share experiences and best practices. RSWA 2010 also saw various deals signed and partnerships formed.
