Malaysians can shop in style with One Sony Experience

MALAYSIAN shoppers can now enjoy the 'One Sony Experience' with the new Sony Style concept shops. The concept aims to give consumers a unique shopping experience by allowing them to explore products and talk to sales staff before making their purchases.

Five such shops opened recently are centrally located in Malaysia, with two flagship outlets in Suria KLCC in Kuala Lumpur and The Curve shopping mall at Mutiara Damansara, Petaling Jaya.

Among the five is the digital imaging store, which opened in August, offering a wide range of Sony products, along with an integrated photo room where customers can get familiarised with and Malaysians can shop in style with One Sony Experience test out the products.

Other facilities in the Sony Style store include a children's playroom, nursing room and concierge service for shoppers. The store also has a service centre, and free Internet, DVD-burning and photo-printing services.

Sony's new stores in Malaysia were launched in conjunction with the introduction of its high-definition Handycam. The company is expecting the outlets and the Handycam to bolster its revenue for the year by 32%-35%.

Worldwide, Sony operates over 166 stores, of which 34 are situated in the Asia-Pacific. The Japanese brand leads the market in Malaysia with a 60% share.
