how the situation had escalated into a global crisis. Part 2 now takes
a closer look at the key causes of the sky-rocketing prices and the
concomitant challenges confronting governments and major
international organisations. Would the world succeed in curbing and
resolving the crisis? It has to — simply because the alternative would
be catastrophic. Asian retailers can and must help in what is no
longer just a kink in the supply chain.
