Internet users who shopped online had spent an average of US$3,000 each during the 12 months prior to the survey, said the card company. The findings noted that digital entertainment was most sought-after, with 59% of those polled stating they made related purchases online. The next most common The respondents also revealed that they spent the most money online for travel services, averaging US$812 in the 12 months to the survey. “Travel items included airline and rail tickets, hotel accommodation and travel packages,” Visa added. The convenience of being able to shop anytime, good prices and the ease at which transactions are made were listed by the company as the top three draws of online shopping.
