Ambiente 2011 – a mega trade fair for the world’s consumer-goods buyers
Story 11 - Preview

BUYERS from all over the world will be converging in Frankfurt, Germany, next February for the global consumergoods fair Ambiente 2011. The mega trade fair, scheduled to take place from February 11-15 at Frankfurt am Main, will feature more than 4,300 exhibitors from across the world.

Renowned for its three-shows-in-one concept, Ambiente 2011 will bring together three leading trade fairs — Dining, Giving and Living — presenting the latest and trendiest tableware, kitchenware and homeware products under one roof.

Last year’s show, which was “completely restructured … based on market needs”, attracted 132,000 trade visitors, an affirmation of Ambiente’s status as the leading international consumer goods market, said the show’s organiser, Messe Frankfurt.

“With Ambiente 2010, we set out in a new direction and we shall continue to go down exactly the same path in 2011. The new concept worked out extremely well and impressed both the industry and retailers in equal measure,” says Detlef Braun, member of the Board of Management, Messe Frankfurt.

Braun adds that the new show structure has not only led to a sharper profile for the Dining, Giving and Living trade fairs but has also ensured that the industry is presented in a more contemporary light so that it is perceived more favourably by visitors.

Dining takes eastern wing
Dining is the world’s undisputed leading trade fair for the tableware, kitchen, houseware and indulgence sectors. International suppliers of glass, porcelain, ceramics, cutlery, kitchenware and homeware will use their brand identities to present their highlights for the coming year. Dining, which is directed at the growing demand for lifestyle and design, will occupy the entire eastern wing of the exhibition centre in Halls 1-6 as well as Halls 10.2 and 10.3.
