HKTDC’s Summer Sourcing Show offers final chance to stock up for year-end holiday season

HONG KONG’S annual Summer Sourcing Show for Gifts, Houseware & Toys returns for its eighth edition this July. Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the four-day trade show will take place at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Center from July 4-7 this year.

The show, which is reputed for its diverse and quality product offerings, is an excellent platform for buyers searching for new and innovative products for their stores, and a final opportunity to place orders for the year-end holiday and festive season, as well as prepare for the new year to come.

Last year’s show attracted 409 exhibiting companies from 14 countries and regions. Exhibitors come from across the globe, many of them eager to make connections with growing consumer markets in the Chinese mainland and other parts of Asia, said HKTDC.

Exhibitors are grouped into a number of themed zones, making it easy for buyers looking for specific product types and lines. The categories at this year’s show include:

  • Gifts & Premiums — advertising premiums, gifts, costume jewellery & accessories, novelties, paper & packaging, and stationery
  • Home Living — artificial flowers, bathroom accessories, DIY products, furniture & lighting, handicrafts, health & personal-care items, home decorations, houseware, kitchenware & gadgets, and tableware
  • Home Tech & Electronic Gifts — healthcare electronics, home security, intelligent home appliances/automation, small electrical appliances, and digital & electronic gifts
  • Green Gifts & Houseware — ecofriendly gift items & houseware, energyefficient appliances, and gifts made from recycled material
  • Fun & Play — toys & sporting goods, and festive & party items
  • Designers’ Corner — design service In addition, the show will again have two “special highlights”. Treasure Island is a specialised section showcasing topof- the-range brand names and products which stand out in design, innovation and craftsmanship.
