SingPost partners PayPal, eBay & Google to launch EZ Suite
Story 7 - E-commerce

SINGAPORE’S postal service provider, Singapore Post (SingPost), has teamed up with online solutions providers, PayPal, eBay and Google, to launch an e-commerce platform that allows smaller businesses to create an e-store environment for their customers.

Called EZ Suite, the service allows businesses to build an online store with payment services provided by PayPal, and logistics and shipping managed by SingPost.

Apart from offering design options, the platform also lets businesses track inventories and issue sales reports, while integrating payment and shipping options for their customers.

Said Choo Kum Seng, SingPost’s assistant vice-president of sales: “EZ Suite offers a single interface for online retailers to choose from a wide range of local and international delivery solutions from SingPost.”

To start, transaction fees on PayPal will be waived for the first two months, while SingPost has promised a 10%-20% discount on delivery rates.

Additionally, eBay will offer businesses 50 free product listings and Google will provide S$100 (US$77.70) worth of free Adwords, including set-up advice and directory listings.

Subsequently, charges range from S$16.95 for a basic package, which includes 10 e-mail accounts or 100 products, to S$41.95 for an advance package. ra
