Story 5 - Preview

Taking into consideration the global shift in consumer habits and lifestyle, the sixth edition of Retail World Asia will be introducing the inaugural Online Retail World Asia exhibition and conference this year, to share with trade delegates and attendees insights and developments that would help them navigate the growing e-commerce sector.

Organised by B2B media group Terrapinn, Retail World Asia 2012 will be held at Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre from April 25-27. Terrapinn is expecting over 8,000 attendees from across the region at the three-day event to meet and network with more than 200 international solution providers from the region and beyond.

The two events will be co-located with the 17th edition of Asia's smart technology and solutions exhibition and conference, Cards & Payments Asia 2012, as well as four other shows, namely Prepaid Cards Asia, Near Field Communication (NFC) World Asia, Digital ID World Asia and RFID World Asia.

Also included in the line-up is the return of Digital Signage World Asia 2012, which will feature country and content pavilions showcasing solutions and services that range from content management and DOOH (Digital Outof- Home) network systems to digital display and augmented reality (AR) solutions for various verticals such as F&B, travel and transportation, hospitality, banking, retail and shopping centres, as well as advertising.

Among the exhibitors who have confirmed their attendance are Christie Digital Systems, 1-2-1 View Media holdings, Advantech Singapore and Design Incorporated.

Alongside the Digital Signage World Asia exhibition, targeted on-floor seminars will highlight some of the latest solutions and best practices in the sector, as well as an innovation centre that will showcase the newest technologies to hit the market.

Conferences and on-floor educational seminars will also be featured at the Retail World Asia event, providing delegates with tips and insights into key areas of interest such as enhancing customer experience and customer retention as well as discussions on pricing strategies and advice on how to gain an edge in the emerging markets.
